Inspect stores survey, property, finding, photograph, report and account information needed to provide the service.
Survey data and synchronisation
Survey records are stored locally and may also be synchronised to the configured Inspect cloud service. Phone + Desktop Pairing uses a private workspace key carried in the QR code to synchronise survey jobs and evidence between paired devices. Treat the QR code as confidential and reset the pairing key if it is exposed.
AI
AI features are optional and user-invoked. Inspect uses the AI provider selected by the user. Google Gemini is recommended and OpenAI is available as an alternative. The API key is stored only on the user’s device/browser and is not included in survey backups or reports. Relevant text, photographs or audio may be sent to that provider when an AI feature is used. Review all AI-generated wording before relying on it.
